Where does the Federation chapter operate?

In Hillsborough County, the SAMHSA grant is in partnership with the Tampa Hillsborough Integrated Network for Kids, T.H.I.N.K, a program of the Children's Board.  The grant provided funding for the creation of a family involvement and engagement component.  The local chapter of the Federation of Families was awarded that role in April 2001 and has been building since that time.

The grant seeks to bring partnerships to better design and improve programs and services for the children in Hillsborough County which are diagnosed Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED).   The Federation works with the families and youth in Hillsborough County to engage the family voice/involvement component.  We promote this involvement in Plant City, University Area, West Tampa, and the Town and Country neighborhoods of Hillsborough County.   We hope to continue building connections with the more than  4000 families with SED diagnosed youth in all parts of the county.
